About

Following a meticulous two-year restoration and conservation effort, the cherished heritage space of Bondi Pavilion reopened its doors in 2022, reaffirming its vital role in community engagement for over 90 years. This iconic venue, steeped in history, stands as a beacon for gatherings, connections, and creative endeavors.

Comprising a dynamic array of artistic and cultural offerings, the Pavilion boasts a gallery, versatile cultural spaces, a theater with a box office, a pottery studio, and two laid-back eateries, alongside essential amenities like showers and change spaces for beach enthusiasts. The recent renovation has not only preserved its historic charm but also introduced sustainable upgrades, revitalized landscaped courtyards, and an impressive new northern entrance.

Visitors are treated to a visual feast with newly added exterior wall art showcasing vibrant Bondi life, while uncovering and restoring old murals adds a nostalgic touch. The Pavilion further enriches the community experience with the Bondi Story Room, narrating the authentic tales of locals and their heritage, and hosts a diverse range of exhibitions, talks, tours, and workshops. Noteworthy among these is the Dharawal language workshop, offering insights into the language and culture of the local Indigenous community.
